We all met in the farm forecourt at 8.30am.The temperature for the year was quite mild but damp.We preceded to beat 2 as it was considered unwise to attempt the route to beat 1 as members had difficulty extracting their vehicles at the fishing in November.
The river was not that high considering the amount rain that had fallen on previous days. The temperature throughout the day hovered around 11C with a little shower of rain. In in the afternoon it got quite windy It was interesting to see that quite a lot of reinforcing work was being constructed on the opposite river bank
Over 100 fish were caught during the day .A notable fish was a Rainbow Trout .
Most fish were caught on the nymph others rose to Emerges and the the legendary F Fly. Dare one mention that the Squirmy Wormy was in evidence. See pictures for proof.
Fishing stopped 3.30pm.All who attended had a most enjoyable day.
