TVFDG Barn Elms Fly Fishing Evening 26 June 2014

Richard Ellis, Richard Elbro,Richard Bird,Roger,Roger Tribe,John Watkins and John Alcock turned up at 17.00 to fish the barn Elms Lake. Our Bailiff for the evening was our lustrous Chairman Geoff Wilcox.

We all purchased a two fish take ticket. Richard Bird was straight off the mark and had bagged his two trout in the first 35 minutes. Unfortunately this was not such good news as the anticipated stop time was dusk. So Richard forked out for another two fish ticket.

Heavy rain set in at 18.15 se we stopped for our snack early. Richard Ellis provided soft drinks and cans of Samuel Smiths and a tasty selection of snacks. Richard Bird did us proud with his home grown Strawberries which were absolutely delicious and a Butter Creamed Topped Sponge.

 The rain eased off and we continued fishing all catching the full ticket. Notably Roger Tribe caught a 51b Blue Trout and with some arm twisting he has entered it into the Trout Master Competition.
